MN Private College Week

Monday, 06/25/2018 to Friday, 06/29/2018 | 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. CDT

Find out what Minnesota private colleges and universities have to offer!

Come on your own or with your parents. These introductory campus tours and informational meetings can serve as a first step to help students discover just what they're looking for in a college — especially if they are early in their search. Sessions are held twice daily, from 9:30 a.m. to noon and 2 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. (Central Daylight Saving Time), on our 17 campuses across the state.

STEP 1: Check out each college’s profile or use the college finder to search by majors, sports and the arts.

STEP 2: Decide where you want to visit. View a map to see where our 17 campuses are located around the state.

STEP 3: Register for free online — and mark your calendars.

Register for free or add or change your visits.

Get $100 Toward Summer Tutoring Programs

As many of you know, Revolution Prep is a national leader in online tutoring and test prep, and with summer approaching they’re giving away a $100 gift card to all Minnehaha Academy families!

We know summer should be spent relaxing, but summer is also a fantastic time for sophomores and juniors to get ahead on test prep – and it’s important for all students to stay engaged with academics, as research shows extended time off can lead to many students falling behind.

So please take advantage of this $100 toward the tutoring program of your choice. Whether it’s private tutoring, a test prep course, or Revolution’s unlimited Homework Help program, there is no purchase necessary. Just $100 toward your child’s summer enrichment.

Click Here to claim your gift card. Make sure to redeem it by June 30, 2018. And if you have any questions or want to learn more reach out to our school’s dedicated Academic Advisor, Jeanette Brink at (708) 300-9276, or Jeanette.Brink@revolutionprep.com

Decision Day Lunch

Burgers, chips and Mrs. Paton's cake - oh my! A great time was had by all as we celebrated the future of our seniors. Whether attending a two or four-year college, taking a gap year, joining the military, or preparing for full-time employment, all were celebrated! We are so proud of our seniors and can't wait to see where this next chapter takes them. Congrats!

Wellness Corner

Mrs. Overton and Mrs. Paton attended the MN School Counselor's Association Conference in Brainerd during the last weekend in April. A big theme? You guessed it - stress and anxiety. This all-too-timely topic corresponded nicely with the Stress Seminar we offered to students in April, as well as our parent coffee chat where we discussed ways that parents can support students through their various stressors.

May happens to be Mental Health Awareness Month, so it is the perfect time to share one of our favorite TED Talks about the positive (yes, you read that right) effects of stress. Definitely worth watching!
