LVES WEEKLY
2020-2021 Parent Newsletter
May 26, 2021 - Issue #40
Thank You
Thank you for another wonderful and productive school year. This year presented challenges for both students and teachers, and I could not be more proud of the way students, teachers, and families stepped up to the challenges and made this a great year! I can’t thank everyone enough for your support of our school and teachers to ensure that students were successful at home and school.
Special thanks to our PTO who went above and beyond the call of duty to provide whatever was necessary to add to our students’ already rich school experience, even with limitations on events. PTO had a huge part in helping with the Apex fundraiser, and they organized and planned a very successful 1st Annual PTO Golf Tournament! All of the proceeds went directly back to the students and teachers.
The success of this unprecedented school year is because of the endless energy, skills and devotion of the LVES staff. Our staff had to pivot instructional plans in August to learn new technology to create and deliver lesson plans for both remote and face-to-face learners. Thank you and well done to an incredible group of professionals that I am honored and proud to work with each day! I could not have done it without this amazing staff.
A final word to LVES students: Thank you for all your hard work throughout the school year. I know it was different and unusual from what you are used to in school. I am so honored to be your principal; you make me proud to be a Viking. I am grateful for your joy and amazing talents. Best wishes to our third graders who will move up to LVIS next year—we look forward to welcoming you back to LVES as 5th graders once the remodeling is complete. Everyone have a safe and happy summer break.
Until next school year, here’s wishing you love, laughter and learning!

Popsicle Treat
Even though we had to delay the popsicle treat by one day, the students really enjoyed the popsicles today! Students got an extra treat...Bella made a special visit to the classrooms when Mrs. Jackson and Mrs. Stewart delivered the popsicles.
