Neighborhood Luminary Night - Sunday, December 7th
Mark your calendars for one of our favorite neighborhood traditions!
A quick run down:
12-5pm Holiday Shopping Open House at Kristen Weiss (20 Colburn Road)
Enjoy a glass of bubbly, a 15 minute massage and the convenience of shopping local vendors to get plenty of gifts checked off your holiday list. Clothing from Ellie Kai and J. Hillburn will be available plus local baked goods from Sugar Wellesley and of course, Stella & Dot accessories. Raffles throughout the day while we give back by supporting empowerHER (hostess credits will be given to Empower Her so the girls can pick out some special accessories of their choice for the holidays) http://www.empoweringher.org
5pm Cocoa and crafts at the Maggioni's driveway (54 Colburn Road)
5:30pm Neighborhood chili cook-off at the Llyods front porch (21 Garden Road).
The competition is fierce and the winner gets a gift certificate to the Cheese Shop plus bragging rights for a whole year! Runner up will receive a bottle of wine! (more details to follow) -
7pm Dessert, smores and Acapella Anonymous at the McIntrye's backyard/firepit - 8 Garden Road
As in years past, we need participation from all neighbors to make Luminary Night a success.
Please RSVP to Carol Mungovan by December 2nd via email at email@example.com with:
1. # of family members attending
2. If you will be entering your favorite chili.
3. If you can bring a dessert to the McIntyres or chili fixings and/or cornbread to the Llyods.
4. If you can help out with set up or clean up and/or would like to be part of the planning committee.
As always, it's BYOB for adults and kids. Hot cocoa will be provided.
Last but not least, be sure to purchase your Luminary Kits in advance (they always sell out the day of). You can find the kits at Roche Bros. and Green's Hardware. It's beautiful to see all the front yards lit up while we support the Wellesley Junior Women's League fundraising efforts.
Please forward this email to neighbors who may not be in the directory.
We look forward to celebrating the season with you on Sunday, December 7th!
