Character Trait for September: Respect

Principal's Paragraphs

School is in full swing! Students and teachers are hard at work! Check out the midterm reports that are coming home with students in backpacks today!

Every minute of instruction is important. We have changed some of our morning routines to add a minutes back into the classroom. For car riders and walkers that eat breakfast, that means students need to go to the cafeteria as soon as they get to school. Hot breakfast is served from 8:30-9:00. Any car riders or walkers who get to school after 9:00 will be given a cereal bar and milk for breakfast. For students who ride the bus to school, buses are unloading a few minutes earlier. Bus riders who need to eat breakfast will unload the bus and go directly to the cafeteria. Bus riders that do not eat breakfast will go to the gym (before 8:45) or to the classroom (after 8:45). If the buses are running late, bus riders will get a hot breakfast. This new plan should have all students in their classrooms by 9:10 for morning announcements and able to get right to work! If your child is a breakfast eater, try to make sure they are at school in plenty of time to get a hot breakfast.

For the end of the day, we want to make sure students go home the correct way! Please make sure you have your green card when picking your child(ren) up in the car rider line. Students will only be sent home the way indicated on their transportation form at the beginning of the year unless the office or classroom teacher is notified by 3:00 each day of the change. Please do not plan to pick up students from the office during dismissal.

Mark your calendar for the Behavior Presentation on September 29, 2016 at 5:30 in the gym. Come hear district leadership speak about behavior expectations and supports for this school year. A question and answer session will follow the presentation. Dinner will be provided for those that attend.

If you ever have questions, please call or email me anytime!
