EVCS Mission Statement
“The Elmwood Village Charter Schools will provide a stimulating and engaging learning environment that recognizes student capability, fosters their connectedness to their immediate and broader communities, and offers them ways to contribute to school life. EVCS believes that all students can and will learn at high levels when provided with the right learning conditions.”
We put students first. We act with urgency. We seek to be better. We work as a team.
Halloween Policy at EVCS
At EVCS, we strive to teach about holidays in a way that will nurture the diverse population of our school community.
With Halloween fast approaching, we wanted to remind our families of our Halloween policy here at EVCS:
* No costumes or Halloween masks are permitted in school.
* Classrooms may choose a "fall-themed" class celebration instead. Look out for communincation from your child's teacher regarding any fall celebrations.
* If you wish to send in a treat, please reach out to your child's teacher first. We have many students with food allergies and safety is our top priority. Healthy options are always a good choice.
For those of you who celebrate, we hope you were able to participate in the "Trunk or Treat" event planned by our Community Association.
Thank you for your continued support!
EVCS Swag Relaunch - Sale Ends 11/6/23
IMPORTANT - Previously canceled orders were not automatically replaced by Custom Ink and should be placed again.
We recently held a swag sale with Custom Ink whereby the purchased items were canceled in error and refunds were issued. On behalf of Custom Ink, we apologize for any inconvenience these cancellations may have caused.
EVCS holds this sale on a yearly basis in order to give our community an opportunity to purchase EVCS merchandise at a reduced price. With the help of Custom Ink, we are happy to announce that the sale has reopened for the next two weeks, ending on 11/6.

Meet Our New Days Park Nurse - Robin Borzellere
Hi everyone,
My name is Robin Borzellere. My nursing journey began as a high school senior. I obtained my LPN license and continued on to complete the Registered Nursing program at Sisters of Charity Hospital. I received my Associates degree in 1993. I have worked in many settings including on a Med-Surg unit, as a Home Health Care Nurse/Supervisor and most recently School Nursing. I learned that I love caring for kids and it is now my passion. My last position was at a BPS of 900 kids pre-K through eighth grade.
I chose nursing as my path because I wanted to help others. I have an endless amount of love and compassion and really enjoy meeting new people and learning about them.
I am a single mom of 3 children, a dog and a cat. I have a deep love for animals and enjoy singing, music, shopping, art and exploring new places and foods.
I am really excited about my new venture here at EVCS and look forward to meeting all of you and being part of this wonderful team!

School Physicals
Yearly physicals need to be submitted as soon as possible. If your child does not have a physical on file, they may be excluded from sports and field trips.
When Should My Child Stay Home
As the weather begins to change, we will begin to see an uptick in illness. Please follow the guidelines below if your child is sick:
Children should stay home if:
* They have a fever above 100.0. Students can return when their temperature is normal for 24-hours, without the use of fever reducing meds.
* Constant cough
* Vomiting and/or diarrhea
* Eye discharge that is yellow or green in color
