Early life
Granville was born April 23 1856 in Columbus, Ohio and was born a free man. Growing up Granville recived very little schooling. When Granville was a teenager he begain working on the railroads as a railroad engineer in a rail road machine shop that would influence him later on in his life.Inventions
Granville created many inventions but one that he most famous for in the electromagnetic brake and the automatic circut breaker. Other inventions are the incubator,telegraphanry, multieplex telagraph, and the third rail.
The significants of his inventions
His inventions are important because they are still used to day in every day life and they made trains easier to control. And his invention made trains stop easily and quicker
