Articles of Confederation
Why they are good and what you need to know
Land Ordinance of 1785
This new enactment of the Articles of Confederation has made states give up their land holdings in the west. However don't lose your temper at this, the Land Ordinance is now dividing said land into smaller 6x6 square mile sections composed of 36, one square mile sections that encompass 640 acres. These sections are being sold for less than $1 and the profits helps to fund the government while the 16th section of every holding funds a school for the area. Now you can help the government and children of the future the lowest bid being $640, this land is dirt cheap.
Northwest Ordinance of 1787
Our Congress has just enacted a new ordinance that states all land that is north of the Ohio River, west of the Alleghenies, and east of the Mississippi River will be settled and may very soon become states. Congress has declared that no fewer than 3 but no more than 5 new states will be formed from this land. In order for a holding to become a state there must be 60,000 free citizens that are able to vote. Each state will encourage education, abolish slavery and servitude, and guarantee the free rights and liberties to all of its citizens.
