A Message from the Principal
I am sure that you received the correspondence that the board approved policy for students to return to hybrid from the virtual world each month rather than having to wait until the quarter. If you would like your child to return to hybrid on March 1st, please send your request to me via email at suracejo@eht.k12.nj.us.
Next week, at Swift, we will be celebrating RANDOM ACTS OF KINDNESS WEEK, we will be discussing and identifying random acts of kindness at school, please feel free to also discuss with your child.
A reminder, school will be closed on Monday, February 15th in honor of President's Day.
As always, please reach out to me with any questions or concerns.
Happy Valentine's Day and stay safe.

Establishing routines and schedules for your child will ensure their overall success. We want our teachers and students to follow a schedule that is very close to the schedule they will have when returning to school in person. Therefore, attendance is important and we expect our students to attend their Google Classroom daily. We will pay particular attention to the social and emotional needs of our students, building strong relationships in this new environment and ensuring their comfort as an online learner.

GT Students Learn How Air Traffic Is Controlled
Thanks to a Google Meet and slide presentation by Mr. & Mrs. Zanes, the students in the GT program learned how airplanes are controlled. The Zanes are employed at the FAA Technical Center. They work on the software that is used by air traffic controllers. Their daughter, Bridget is in our GT program.
The Zanes explained the main purpose of air traffic controlling, what happens to planes once they leave the ground, how communication takes place between the tower and planes, and much more. The students learned about a variety of careers at the FAA Technical Center and the skills necessary in these types of positions. Bridget is very proud of her parents and we’re very appreciative to them for enthusiastically sharing their knowledge!
