Superintendent's Nest
Welcome to March is Reading month! All month long, we have dress-up days; be sure to check your calendar! This month, we are looking for volunteers to come in and read to classrooms or the whole school. Please contact Ms. Cate (cate.rutter@gmail.com or 269-512-7970) to set up a time to come in and read. You can bring your own books, or we can find some for you! Feel free to spread the word to grandparents, retirees, community members, etc.
For the month of March, for The Giving Tree, we are collecting jeans for Resilience in Holland. This is a domestic violence shelter. We are accepting new or gently used girls, boys, women, and mens jeans. Jeans can be dropped off Monday-Friday, 7 am-5:30 pm until March 30th. Before we drop the donations off, TTQ participants will write positive affirmations to place in a pocket of the jeans.
We have Parent-Teacher Conferences coming up at the end of this month. This is a great time to connect with your child’s teacher in person. We will also be holding Kindergarten Open House on Thursday, April 20th, at 5:30 pm. Please tell your friends and neighbors!
3rd and 5th graders will be taking the MStep test in April. This is a state standardized test that students across the state will be completing. Please help your child get enough rest and a healthy breakfast, especially during this testing time.
I hope you all have a fun and relaxing Spring Break, which is March 31st-April 7th.
Sincerely,
Ms. Walle
