Art - Mr. Winchester

7th Grade Art Focus is working diligently to complete their Charleston Gates, and they will be making final selections for the Festival of Flowers Art Show that will be held at the Federal Building. Students will be allowed to choose 2 pieces if they would like anything in the show. I will work to mount the 2 chosen pieces on foam board, then they will have to bring them home so that you can take them to be matted. Hobby Lobby or Michael's will do this, and it is not very expensive. Be sure to use the 40% OFF coupon no matter which store you use so that you may save a little money. I need the matted artwork back by Friday, so that I can deliver them to the Federal Building after school. The show will be on display from May 24th through June 4th

, and a reception will be held on June 2 from 5:00 - 6:30 with the awards ceremony starting at 6:00.

Please as your child about the project that they are working on. We have completed a career interest survey. From there the students are finding out what jobs are available in the areas of their interest. We are in the process of identifying what schools they can attend in-state and out-of- state to pursue their careers. An interesting part they have completed was a Reality Check.
