Lander Elementary Friday Newsletter
Friday, June 2, 2023
Lander Families,
It is hard to believe that we have one week left of the 2022-2023 school year. We are beyond excited about the fun events and activities we have planned for the last week of school. Our students have worked so hard this school year and deserve to have fun and celebrate.
We had the opportunity to have lunch with our AVIS winners (Attitudes Visible in School) and enjoyed talking to the students about how and why they were chosen. Many students identified that they got picked because they were good friends, kind, worked hard and followed the 4 P’s. It is so rewarding to hear our students communicate how their positive choices and actions impact a positive school environment.
As we near the end of the school year I wanted to take a minute to personally thank our PTG President, Mrs. Jacquie Houser. Mrs. Houser goes above and beyond to support our school community and we can’t thank her enough for her collaboration and support. Mrs. Houser spends countless hours organizing events, helping our staff, and implementing opportunities for our students. On behalf of Lander, and our school community, thank you Mrs. Houser for all you do.
A separate correspondence went out to all 5th-grade families regarding end-of-the-year activities for our 5th-grade students and families. The link to the 5th Grade SMORE is also included below. If you have any questions please feel free to contact the main office or your child’s teacher. Thank you in advance for following the logistical requests for specific events at the end of the year. We appreciate your cooperation.
Just a reminder that our Kindergarten registration for the 2023-2024 school year is now open. Please get your child registered as a Lander Leopard! We will continue to communicate end-of-the-year events, and opportunities from PTG, as well as additional updates for the end of the school year.
Thank you,
Steff
