PJ DAY IS COMING! (see details below)
Our STEAM Read-A-Thon is under way...
Each day this week we will be reading in class for a designated 30 minutes. Please log any time read at home on the sheet that is in your student's backpack today. We will track class minutes at school and add it to the total at the end of the week.
***FOR THE LAST DAY OF THE READ-A-THON, WE WILL HAVE A GRADE LEVEL READING PARTY***
On Friday, students can wear PJs and bring a blanket or towel and a flashlight. We will go to the library and read with other first graders. :)
MOON ROCK DAY!
Today students were able to experience a once-in-a-lifetime chance to see soil and rock samples from the moon up close. One of our 1st grade teachers, Mrs. Ruckman, went to a training and attained rights to present about and share these samples. She also shared meteorite samples found on Earth, but owned by NASA.
We talked in-depth about the moon the last couple of weeks, expanding on our previous study this year.
Ask your student about what they saw and learned!!!
