July 2014 Newsletter
Letter from the President
I am so excited to be your new President! Thanks for entrusting the club to me & the wonderful eboard that you elected for this new term. For those new members, our eboard (short for executive board) serves a one year term starting July 1, 2014 through June 30, 2015. The eboard is decided by the MOMS Club members!
I joined the club when my son, Jack, was only 7 months old & to think that he just turned 2 last month shocks me! It took me some time to get involved with the club because of nap schedules & the fear of not knowing anyone. It wasn't until I delivered a meal to Janet when Jillian was born that we got to talking & I felt a little more at ease. So, thank you, Janet! And, thank you for getting me involved in last years eboard. It was so rewarding as AVP to coordinate the service projects & make a difference in our community. Vivian is going to do a fantastic job this year!
Summer is already in full swing! As I type, my thermometer reads 92 degrees & my air conditioning won't quit. This is what we wait ALL winter for! I've included in the newsletter a list I've been putting together for my family since Jack was born of things we want to do. Some suggestions came from moms in this group! Since I became a mom, I try to fill Jack's days with fun & excitement. This club has certainly helped me to do that & hopefully this list will be helpful for you. I hope everyone has a wonderful, safe summer with their families.
I hope you like our new newsletter format! We will continue to highlight families in the club through the newsletter, but wanted to introduce the new eboard this month. We are so excited to lead this group. We are hoping to plan fun events for both the kids & for us moms. It's so important to be there for one another!
We, as an eboard, are open to your suggestions & ideas....as a matter of fact, we welcome them! We want to hear from you & know what you want from this club. Please do not hesitate to reach out to us!

MOMS Club has given me the opportunity to connect with great moms that live nearby, as well as a support group I can ask literally any question at any time. Most of all, my son has made friends I know he will have for years to come.....& so will I!

Through MOMS club I have made many good friends and met moms in the area with kids the same age as my kids. Growing up in a different country but being a mom for the first time here in NJ was challenging since I didn't know of the best places to go and all the local activities available to do with the kids.

I joined the moms club a few years ago after having my first child. I thought it would be a good way to make new friends in the area for both, my daughter and myself. After a few years, I have 2 children Ariana 5 and Jovanni 2 ½. They keep me smiling and more alive everyday. I feel so fortunate that I can raise my children in a holistic, healthy way that ties into my philosophy.

MOMS club has provided a network of support and new friends locally when I decided to go from working full time to working part time out of my home. Not only have my children made new friends and enjoyed lots of activities, but I have had some fun nights (and afternoons too!) out with great company.
WElcome new members!
Arriving somewhere on your own not knowing anyone can be quite daunting. We are here to welcome you & hope that you will feel comfortable enough to keep coming back to events!
You can choose to host at your home, but you don't have to. Most of our events are at public places which is nice & easy. Don't feel as though you need to provide snacks or drinks for the kids. Simply write BYO in the event!
To create an event in FB, click on Events, Create Event, & fill out the event information. Let's get our calendar filled up with fun stuff for the summer!
RSVP, please! Even if you can't make an event, let's all make the effort to RSVP on the Facebook Events so hosts know who to expect. THANKS!
