Seven Hills Adopts Angels From the NISD Virtual Angel Tree:
Seven Hills has adopted several angels off of the NISD Virtual Angel Tree and turned individual wish lists into items waiting to be selected for fulfillment! Wish list items have been placed on paper ornaments with specific details, including clothing item sizes, as well as the date items should be returned to the school. Seven Hills families can stop by the front office to choose one or more items off of the Angel Tree. All Angel Tree donations need to be delivered to the school on or before December 6th, 2018. Thank you in advance for your generosity!
Free Haircuts to Be Offered By NISD Seers of Steele at the PTA Breakfast With Santa Event on Saturday, December 1:
Seven Hills Elementary School is hosting our annual Breakfast with Santa event on Saturday, December 1 from 9-10:30 a.m. at our campus. Thanks to Shears of Steele Salon, NISD cosmetology students will be offering free haircuts and/or a braiding bar at the event. The Shears of Steele Salon is located at NISD’s James M. Steele Accelerated High School and provides high school students with an opportunity for first-hand experiences to become licensed cosmetologists after a four-year plan of student. The Salon is open for business every Tuesday from 1:15 to 6:30 p.m. We are excited to host NISD’s cosmetology students at our school for this business partnership. If your child would like a free haircut or style, please stop by our Breakfast with Santa on December 1.
Seven Hills Exemplar Educator Nomination Window Open Through December 7:

Your Feedback is Needed:
Tell Us How We’re Doing!
Northwest ISD is seeking feedback from parents and caregivers to identify strengths and areas needing improvement by offering a parent survey. The survey is available in English and Spanish November 26 to December 14 and will focus on:
- Campus climate
- Safety
- Communications
- Instructional program
- Support services
If you have children enrolled in more than one school, you will be able to take the survey for each child.
To complete the survey, click here. If you prefer a paper copy or a Spanish version, please call 817-215-0171. Thank you in advance for your participation in helping the district work toward achieving its mission to prepare students to confidently navigate their futures.

First Annual 4th Grade Winter Musical Will Be Tuesday, December 18 at 6:00 pm:
For the past several years, Seven Hills has presented a winter program with students from each grade level singing various winter holiday themed songs. Wanting to expand the depth of performance opportunities we offer students, a decision was made to change the format of the Winter Social. The musical provides our 4th grade students an opportunity to experience a full production including auditions and dress rehearsal. The musical also offers students an opportunity to find their voice in singing, role playing, dancing, stage management, and even set design! The musical is a collaborative effort with the 7 Hills Specials Team. We are so proud of the hard work the 4th grade students have put into the production, and hope that you will join us for the musical. We look forward to the 4th grade musical becomes a time honored and highly anticipated tradition at Seven Hills Elementary.
Set Props Needed:
We are in search of table and chair sets similar to the one pictured below for the 4th grade musical. It doesn't have to be fancy, a certain color, etc. We will not alter the set in any way. If you have a set you are willing to loan the school for the production, please contact Mrs. Howe.

Please contact Mrs. Wells at carie.wells@nisdtx.org
- Library Volunteers Needed: Friends and Family at SHE, our library needs some help with our shelves. I would love to have some volunteers come in and help organize the Non-fiction Animal area. Please email Mrs. Wells at carie.wells@nisdtx.org and let her know when you are available!
- The doors to the school will open at 7:20 a.m., and students may go either to the cafeteria to eat breakfast or to their classrooms to begin their day. To ensure student safety, please do not drop students off at school before the doors open at 7:20.
- Our school day begins promptly at 7:40 a.m. Students are expected to be present in their classrooms and ready to begin “Habit Huddle” when the 7:40 tardy bell rings. Any student who is not in their classroom, or arrives after the tardy bell, will be counted tardy. Please encourage your child to be proactive and arrive at school on time.
- The safety and security of students, staff, and visitors is a priority. All visitors must sign-in with the front office using the Raptor system to receive a visitor badge. Any visitor without a badge will be redirected to the front office. All new guests will need to scan their ID the first time they visit this year. We appreciate your patience and understanding with this safety measure.
- Please contact the school office if your child will be absent from school. This helps us verify our overall attendance for the day and properly account for all students. When your child returns to school after an absence, please be sure to send a note explaining the reason for the absence.
