The 800 Wing is Complete!
Come Celebrate With Us!
Columbia River High School celebrates a significant milestone this month – its 60th Anniversary! The celebration is even more meaningful because it coincides with the opening of the new “500” and “800” wings, a construction project that has been underway for several years.
The CRHS building improvements were funded by the 2017 bond creating new spaces to accommodate additional students and offering improved science laboratories supporting student work in the International Baccalaureate (IB) program. In September 2022, the school dedicated the John O’Rourke Field, serving as an access point for everyone in the community, improvements also supported by the bond.
To celebrate the anniversary and the completion of the building improvement projects, the school invites the community to an open house and tour of the new classrooms, laboratories, and student spaces.
This event is open to the public, but we would like an RSVP for planning purposes.

Pedestrians and Student Pick Up
As we move into the darker winter months, we want to review some safety reminders for student drop-off and pickup.
Please pay extra attention to student pedestrians before and after school, especially at the parking lot entrance/exits
Students should cross streets only at marked crosswalks.
Parents are discouraged from parking in our immediate neighborhood area for student pick-up, this causes congestion and potential safety issues
Please be courteous of our neighbors by not blocking driveways
STUDENT CLUBS
Students have plenty of clubs to choose from this year. River has 41 club offerings, representing many interests. Last year River had 29. Click here to view our club offerings. Go Rapids!

Get your FAFSA/WASFA in!
A number of college applications and scholarships require you to have submitted your FAFSA or WASFA form to be considered. Even if you aren't sure what your plan is for next year, take this important step to keep your options open for when you are ready. It is far easier to have it available and not use it, than it is to need it and have it delayed due to processing.
If you have any questions, or need assistance, please stop by the Pathways Center before Winter Break.
Virtual College Fair
You can also check out a quick video on how it all works! We look forward to seeing you and your students at an upcoming college fair soon!
