Family Event: McKinney Octoberfest
Dust off your lederhosen and tune up your yodel for this year’s Oktoberfest. McKinney Oktoberfest is a family favorite, offering authentic German music, food and drink, traditional costumes, dancing, children’s activities and much more
The “beer garden” covers a total of 14 blocks throughout McKinney's Historic Downtown square so you can enjoy all downtown McKinney has to offer with a German beer in one hand and a bratwurst in the other. McKinney Main Street, supporting sponsors and the shops in Historic Downtown McKinney will host nonstop activities in the heart of our great city.
We moved this to Saturday in order for more of the group to attend. If you can't fit it into your schedule; we'll see you on the next one!

Prayer Concerns:
Jen:
*Praise, my neighbor Dawn is CANCER FREE!!
*Lisa, counselor at my school had a double mastectomy in July, but must go through a year of chemo as a result of the type of cancer. She is very tired from the treatment.
Wendy:
*Fighting an eye infection for 6 weeks, and not going away despite 3 medicines.
Juan:
*Co-worker, Kendrick, emotional at work lately. He suffered from a stroke 20 years ago and seeing some of the symptoms again. He will be having a MRI soon.
Jason:
*Sam, 4.5 year old nephew, has a growth between two vertebrae. They have an appointment October 1st at Cook Children's in Hurst. The pediatrician does not believe it is cancer, but wanted a specialist to see him.
*Jason's schedule is busier now that he is taking a class at Collin College. He needs to get his schedule sorted and balance his studying time throughout the week.
Kristin:
* Lump in her breast, forced to go to doctor by Katie.
Susan:
*Praise that her hormones are balanced out by seeing the "hormone therapy guru". She will be getting all of us ladies a referral to someone else since the guru isn't seeing new patients. Her supplements have resolved many physical ailments that she had been suffering with!
Mike:
*Praise that Mike's new job of 7 months is going well! He just received a $6.5 million order. He is so excited... didn't he say he is taking all of us to dinner when he gets his bonus to celebrate??? Great Job Mike!!!
Bobbette:
*Work... working for her family is becoming harmful for her health. Boundaries are needed but very hard to implement.
Katie:
*Katie has a job interview Thursday. Mixed feelings, going back to work a bit earlier than planned, but the job is very intriguing to Katie. Would like God's will to prevail.
*Syd is sick with a fever
Paul:
*Very busy schedule at work.
