COVID Tests
If you would like a COVID test for your child, please stop by the office between 7:30 AM and 4:00 PM this week. PVSD is strongly recommend everyone tests on January 8th/9th before returning to work/school.
Way to go Madagascar Jr. actors! Your hard work and dedication paid off, what an amazing job you all did!

Attendance
Has your student missed a day of school? Are you interested in a fun, hands-on, interactive way to keep your student busy on a Saturday? Saturday Academies are coming to PVSD! Did you know that when students are not in school, the school district does not get paid unless they are on independent study.
See the attachment for more information.

For the 2023-24 school year, a State law requires that all incoming 7th graders get a whooping cough booster shot, called Tdap, second MMR and a second varicella, before entering school. Students who have not received these shots prior to the beginning of the school year will not be allowed to start school.
We encourage you to contact your child’s doctor now if your child hasn’t yet received a dose of the Tdap booster vaccine, second MMR and second varicella to schedule an immunization appointment.
If your child has already received the required immunizations, please bring in the most current immunization record to the school office so their records can be updated.
If you have any questions, please contact the school.

Dudes Do Lunch
Our goal is to give kids a chance to connect with awesome male role models from our community at school! It might be organizing sport or outdoor activities, playing tabletop games, or other fun, engaging ways to build connections, and we’re looking forward to the time, talent, and experiences you will bring to our kids.
LPSSA Dudes have the flexibility to choose their own level of commitment and involvement. If you can stop in weekly or monthly, or even a couple times this year, that’s great. Whenever you are available, your presence will be appreciated. If you are interested in volunteering, please email Brad Torti at bradtorti@gmail.com

Covid Protocol Reminders
Students will be sent home without the proper clearance.
Attendance Reminder
Please remember to call in your child’s absence EACH DAY IN THE MORNING for ANY REASON to our Attendance Hotline at (805) 383-5330. Your child will be marked UNEXCUSED if you do not call it in! Illnesses, out of town, appointments, etc., we NEED you to let us know why your child is not at school. It is important for us to keep out Attendance Records correct and up-to-date. We appreciated your assistance in helping us with this task.
