THURS/TUES - PARENT-TEACHER CONFERENCES - How do they Work?
WHEN ARE CONFERENCES?
- THURS., 9/23 or TUES., 9/28
- 4pm - 5:30pm: SCHEDULED CONFERENCES ONLY. This time is reserved for scheduled 10-15 minute conferences if parents have a concern or teachers have reached out to parents because they have a concern.
- 5:30pm - 7pm: COME & GO CONFERENCES ONLY. This is an informal time to visit with teachers. There is not as much privacy during this time. It is similar to Open House. Teachers are available to answer quick questions regarding grades, behavior, quarantines, make-up work, grading, etc.
- CONFERENCES are WELCOMED but optional! It is a great time to get to know each other!
GUIDELINES:
- Only ONE (1) parent should attend Parent-Teacher Conferences with their child to help with social distancing in classrooms & hallways.
- *Each teacher has between 100 - 150 (or more!) students, so classrooms and hallways can become extremely crowded.
- Conference Nights are divided into times for "Appointments" or "Come & Go"
How are CRI Intermediate Parent-Teacher Conferences the SAME as Elementary Parent-Teacher Conferences?
- We LOVE getting to know parents & students better!
- We LOVE helping you with concerns & brainstorming solutions to help your child.
- We are here to HELP! All teachers, counselors, and principals care about your child and want to help.
- The BOOK FAIR will be going on in the Media Center on Parent-Teacher Conference nights - 1 parent with your child during conferences, or your child will be able to shop during their ELA class during the school day, too.
How are CRI Intermediate Parent-Teacher Conferences DIFFERENT than Elementary Parent-Teacher Conferences?
- Conferences are WELCOMED, YET OPTIONAL. With the advancement of technology, the availability of Parent Portal for you to check your child's grades every day, ease of email, and the increased # of students/families per teacher at the Intermediate level, it is perfectly acceptable if you choose not to attend conference night. However, teachers always love and welcome meeting parents, so we will be delighted to see you at conferences if you choose to attend, too!
- Teachers will reach out to parents if they are concerned regarding a child's grades or behavior & feel a conference is needed to partner to help the child become more successful. Please try to attend!
- Parents, you may reach out to teachers if you are concerned regarding a child's grades or behavior & feel a conference is needed to partner to help your child. You may also request a conference to communicate needed information to your child's team of teachers.
- To set up a scheduled conference, please email your child's homeroom teacher or call the school office and request a 10-15 min. conference with your child's team of teachers. Call 405-256-6955.
