What's Happening in The Den
Busy in the Den
Hello Barnett Shoals Community!
We’ve been busy in the Den since we last spoke! Cluster Fair, Reading Day, Masquerade Ball, Stroll or Roll, Spring Conferences, and Book Fair were all successful events! Thanks for your participation and commitment to helping make Barnett Shoals a school of pride and excellence.
Mr. Barrett has shared several albums via Dojo of the events. Please check out our school story on ClassDojo for links to the pictures.
Can you believe there are only 43 days left in the school year? Yes, only 43!
We still have plenty of teaching and learning that needs to be done between now and the last day of school. Please continue to encourage your scholars to finish strong.
We also have plenty of engagement opportunities that are scheduled to take place during this quarter. Last Wednesday you should have received a calendar of events(pictured) that we would like for you to hang on your refrigerator as a reminder of all of the Barnett Shoals’ happenings. From events to assessments and everything in between. Please get this document from your scholar’s folder.
We are happy with our progress thus far, but still have a few more turns before we reach the finish line.
We are continuing along our R.O.A.D to success so that we can Reach Our Academic Dreams.

Square 1 Art Fundraiser
Hello Barnett Shoals Bears,
I am so excited about this year's Square 1 Art Fundraiser. Many of our families have already ordered beautiful keepsakes with their scholar's art! If you have a media release on file with our school, your child's custom catalog for the Square 1 Art Fundraiser went home in Wednesday folders. You can order using the catalog or online.
If you do not have a media release on file - you can upload art you have at home to order here:
Upload additional art if you like, using Art Upload!
If you lost the catalog but would still like to order art, it's simple. Simply search for your child's art using Art Search, and enter the state, school name, and your student's name. Your student's art and code will appear, and you may order!
Order by: 3/31/2023
If you have questions or need anything at all, contact customer care online.
Thank you for supporting our school!

Habits at Home
As a Leader in Me School, one of our 5 Core Paradigms is that families and teachers partner to support the whole child.
Our Habit for the month of March: Habit #7 Sharpen the Saw
Habit #7: Sharpen the SawTo put it simply, synergy means “two heads are better than one.” Synergize is the habit of creative cooperation. It is teamwork, open-mindedness, and the adventure of finding new solutions to old problems. But it doesn’t just happen on its own. It’s a process, and through that process, people bring all their personal experience and expertise to the table. Together, they can produce far better results than they could individually. Synergy lets us discover jointly things we are much less likely to discover by ourselves. It is the idea that the whole is greater than the sum of the parts. | Habit #7: Sharpen the Saw Balance feels best.
