Intern for a Day Program
The Career Center partners with employers in Atlanta and Athens to provide a job shadow opportunity to match your career interest. Students who participate are able to build their resume, explore a career and network with professionals.

Food, Agriculture, and Environmental Science Career & Internship Fair - October 5th
The Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences Career and Internship Fair offers the opportunity for students to network with employers specifically within their field of study. Students at all levels of their educational experience will have an opportunity to learn about specific internship and full-time openings available. Students who are seeking internships and full-time jobs in this industry are highly encouraged to attend.

CMT/Viacom Media Networks - Spring 2018 Internship Program
CMT (Country Music Television), a cable channel of Viacom Media Networks, is currently recruiting for their Spring 2018 paid internship program for various departments across the company. All students applying for an internship with CMT must be able to commit to a minimum schedule of 16 hours per week for a period of at least ten consecutive weeks in order to be considered. Internships are for students entering their junior or senior year of college, as well as some graduate and law students. Students that have already graduated will not be eligible for the program – they must be active/current students.
Departments in Nashville with possible internship opportunities available for the upcoming semester (Subject to change): Business & Legal Affairs (BALA), CMT Digital - Social Media, CORE Services/Facilities, Corporate Communication/PR, Creative Services: Off-Air Design, Human Resources, Music & Licensing Strategy, Music Strategy & Talent, Production Management, Production Operations, and Program Planning & Scheduling.
Students can apply online at the following website – www.viacomcareers.com. The application deadline for the Spring 2018 program is Friday, October 27, 2017.

Arch Ready: Writing a Personal Statement

Attend this session for tips on creating a personal statement that leaves a positive, lasting impression for a graduate/professional school or an undergraduate program. Gain insight on what admissions committees are looking for and understand how to avoid common writing pitfalls.
Arch Ready: Graduate School Options in Helping Fields Panel

The number of career and graduate school options in helping fields can be overwhelming. Hear from a panel of helping professionals about their roles and the various pathways that got them there. Panelists went through the following graduate programs: Marriage and Family Therapy, Social Work, Higher Education, Nonprofit Management, School Counseling, and Community Counseling. Panelists are currently working in clinical counseling coordination, DFCS, student support services, nonprofit development, school counseling, and private counseling practice.
Arch Ready: Managing Multiple Offers

Join the UGA Career Center and a recruiter from TEGNA Media to hear more about managing multiple offers. As you navigate the job search process and make good impressions on employers, you may find yourself in the difficult situation of receiving multiple job offers, and having to decide which is better for you. This workshop will help you understand: what aspects to consider when you have multiple offers on the table, how your values are an important part of this process, and how to professionally respond to employers if you are faced with this situation. This is an ideal workshop for you if you have not yet accepted a job offer.
