Annual Charity Swim

Wymondham Lions

Raise some money for the Big C charity and get fit at the same time !

The annual Wymondham Lions Charity Swim is on again - so save the date of October 12th and get yourself in training. Last years event raised over £2,000 which we donated to SERV [the Blood Bikes] and NARS [Norfolk Accident Rescue Service].

Let's see how much we can beat that by this year.

Two formats on offer this year with

  • Teams of 6 to swim relay style for 50 mins; or
  • Individuals or smaller groups swim for 30 mins.

There will be prizes for those doing the most laps and separate categories for the children's teams.

To enter a team, email us on to get the entry form and details.

Wymondham Lions

We are a charity supporting the community, and those in need, of Wymondham and Attleborough. Wymondham Lions Club was formed in 1970 and is one of 46,000 Clubs with 1.3 million members in 205 countries worldwide. Like all Lions Clubs our motto is 'We Serve', raising money for our local area by putting on events like the 25 year old Christmas Fayre, performing services for others (child tagging at the Royal Norfolk Show and car parking at the Wayland Show) and shaking a tin for Children in Need and Marie Curie Cancer Trust. We also support Lions Clubs International projects like Water Aid and Sight Savers. Our donations currently run at about £10,000 per year to deserving causes such as EACH, SERV, NARS and Starthrowers, and individual donations to disabled children and youths on voluntary service .

The Lions take no administration costs out of donations and members perform tasks voluntarily. Wymondham Lions is always looking for new members and for people who may just be able to lend a hand for a couple of hours at a time shaking a tin or manning a tombola stall.Visitors to Club meetings are always welcome. Drop us a line or give us a call if you're interested.
