Optimize Learning Targets
The verb OPTIMIZE has 3 senses:
1. make optimal; get the most out of; use best
2. modify to achieve maximum efficiency in storage capacity or time or cost
3. act as an optimist and take a sunny view of the world
How do you see these 3 definitions applying to the way we use the word 'optimizing' our learning targets? It has been so fun to listen to all of our probationary teachers share ways students are getting the most out of learning; exceeding their ISIP and IM goals, 'taking a sunny view' of their progress even though they're not quite there yet with mastery of some targets; achieving success with the modifications you provide. Our FALCONS are growing as learners and exuding more and more confidence. Our goal is to flood morning announcements and our Facebook page with evidence of students who are doing these things. You've worked hard and your students have too! Let's shout it out and brag for everyone to join us in celebrating these accomplishments.
Campus Needs Assessment & Campus Improvement Plan
Greetings Braswell Zone teachers! In our zone, our shared purpose is to create Braswell High School graduates who are empowered to fulfill our mission to positively impact our local and global community. We are a family, and we do whatever it takes to help everyone succeed.
A goal of our principal group is to establish common criteria to use in future hiring to ensure that all those who work in the Braswell Zone have beliefs and practices that align with our five core values. We are requesting your feedback through this survey to learn more about the types of people YOU want to work with each day to help all kids succeed. Please submit your feedback no later than Friday, April 2nd.
The Braswell Zone is larger than schools, it’s bigger than community. Your input is very important to us, and we thank you in advance for being a voice in this process!
With Braswell Pride,
BHS Zone Principals
Please click on the link below to complete the survey. Our deadline is April 6th so that we will be prepared to share the data at our upcoming CLT/Team Lead meeting on April 5th.
STEAM Night Success
Students and teachers are welcome to continue lifting others with words by participating in the feedback wall outside Elizabeth's and Diana's rooms. Materials are available for this station and the lifting others with words station. Thanks ladies for starting this station. #kindness revolution
