HFRCS Newsletter SY 2022-2023

October 4, 2022 - Vol.2 Issue 6

From the Principal's Office

Dear Parents and Guardians,

I hope that everyone is staying dry during these very wet days! We continue to pray for all of those who experienced devastation as a result of Hurricane Ian.

Many of you have expressed frustration because of the interruption we have been experiencing with transportation, particularly from the Bristol Township buses. We share the information we receive from our sending districts as soon as we receive it, and some days it is at 5:00 A.M. There is a general understanding that they do not have enough bus drivers to cover all their runs and the public schools are also experiencing loss of buses on given days. Your patience as we proceed through the school year is greatly appreciated.

This Thursday, our school will celebrate the Kickoff to the Hawk Walk! Our annual Hawk Walk is scheduled for Friday, October 21st. This year we have set a challenging school-wide goal of $35,000! I am confident that with everyone’s help and support, we can reach our goal! We will celebrate our Kickoff with a Student Council sponsored $1 Holy Family-wear dress down day this Thursday, October 6, with all proceeds going to the Hawk Walk fund! What can your student wear for Thursday’s Dress Down day? Any Holy Family Spiritwear – the new items recently released by our Home and School Association that is still available for purchase (order form is in this newsletter!), any Spiritwear from previous years, any Holy Family CYO jerseys or shirts, Spirit Day shirts from previous years or even your gym uniform! We are looking for everyone to participate! Also this Thursday evening will be the release of our fundraising platform where donations can be made. Look for an email letter about how to donate this Thursday! Our donation platform will be open for donations from Thursday, October 6 through Friday, November 4.

On Friday, October 7, we will celebrate our First Friday Mass at 9:30 A.M. Following Mass, we will be installing our new Student Council officers and members and our Safety Patrol. Please attend if your schedule permits. This Friday is also 8th grade Leadership Day. Please pray for our 8th grade students as they use this day to team build and prepare to assume student leadership in this, their last year at Holy Family Regional Catholic School!

Sincerely Yours in Christ,

Mrs. Haggerty
