SEL Book of the Month - After the Fall by Dan Santat
Caldecott Medalist Dan Santat's poignant tale follows Humpty Dumpty, an avid bird watcher whose favorite place to be is high up on the city wall―that is, until after his famous fall. Now terrified of heights, Humpty can no longer do many of the things he loves most.
Will he summon the courage to face his fear?
After the Fall (How Humpty Dumpty Got Back Up Again) is a masterful picture book that will remind readers of all ages that Life begins when you get back up. (Amazon, 2021)

IB Profile of the Month-Risk Taker
Message from our IB Coordinator, Paul Hulsing
What does it mean to be a Risk Taker in learning?
Risk Takers - They approach unfamiliar situations and uncertainty with courage and forethought and have the independence of spirit to explore new roles, ideas, and strategies. They are brave and articulate in defending their beliefs.
IB students perform well in challenging academic settings and show resilience and determination in their work. In academics, they have the confidence to approach new or unfamiliar subjects or material.
Risk Taker in the classroom - No one learns without making mistakes. Quite the opposite—we learn when we make mistakes.
