Character Counts at Skyview
The six pillars of character (trustworthiness, respect, responsibility, fairness, caring and citizenship) form the basis of all we do. Typically our teachers recognize students for their pillarific behavior and actions. We will be kicking off PILLARIFIC recognition during Character Counts Week.
Would you like to recognize your student as being pillarific? Take a look at the pillar definitions in the visual below and then complete the pillarific nomination form: click here.
Pillarific students will receive recognition from the Skyview office.
Methacton School District - Student Services Center
What is it?
The student services center provides tutoring and school counseling services for ANY/ALL Methacton students. The target areas of support will be academic subject areas as well as school counseling topics related to career and social/emotional development, peer relationships, and organization. The center is staffed by certified teachers, instructional support staff and substitute teachers from our school district system. Sessions are scheduled for an hour block. Sessions are scheduled after the building school days ends. The scheduled sessions for tutoring/school counseling are provided after exhausting all services offered at the building level.
How to access services?
Tutoring/school counseling services will be scheduled by appointment per request via a parent/guardian by completing a Request Form. A scheduler will handle all requests and assign a session that is dependent upon tutor availability, time and day. Request forms are due on Wednesdays each week and services will be scheduled for two week periods. At the center, we will have staff on site to assist you and provide all necessary precautions for health and safety. A required electronic health self-check, Health Pre-Screening Form, will need to be completed prior to each scheduled service appointment. Parents/guardians will drive around to the side of our Skyview building and look for signage/cones. Upon arrival, please call the receptionist desk phone number and an on-site team member will greet you outside at your vehicle in the designated drop-off area (visible signage/cones) and will walk the student into the building. Masks are required at all times.

When and where are services available?
The student services center opens on Tuesday, 9/29/2020 and scheduling begins. Services will be available by appointment only Monday through Friday from 3:00pm to 7:00pm at Skyview Upper Elementary School. Student drop-off and pick-up will take place at the side of the building to promote limited contact. Your safety is our top priority.
Questions?
Our center is a new opportunity to help students in a 1:1 student to teacher/counselor ratio setting for academic and well-being support. If you have questions, please email our staff members listed below. We appreciate your patience and responses. We will work to guide you and your child toward success.
