September 23 & 24 Early Release - Parent Teacher Conferences

Mulberry's Teacher of the Year is Mrs. Athena Roberts. Mrs. Roberts has been teaching third grade at Mulberry for the past three years. Before coming to Mulberry, Mrs. Roberts worked at Cooper, Lawrenceville, and Harmony Elementary. She is loved by our kids and teachers alike, and we are honored to have her represent our school!

Sorry for any confusion at Chick-fil-A Friday morning.

We received this email to explain why Mulberry students did not get the free chicken biscuit.

This is Stephanie Valenti from Chick-fil-A Dacula. I believe there was a misunderstanding this morning about the promotion for a Free Chicken Biscuit at Chick-fil-A Dacula.

The promotion was to promote the Dacula vs. Mill Creek Football game this evening and in an effort to generate hype for the game we wanted to give a free chicken biscuit to all the students and staff at DHS and anyone wearing Dacula Spirit wear for the game tonight. Since we weren't able to honor the guests, and had some upset guests, we would love to do something for the elementary school. I am not sure what or when, but I will keep you informed.

Thank you for your time.

Put a Cap on Cancer

On Friday, September 11, we will "Put a Cap on Cancer" Students please bring in one dollar to support Braden Boozer, a local member in our community battling cancer. All money raised will go to the Boozer family! Wear your CAP and show your support! #GoGOLDforaCure!

Parent Teacher Conferences

On Wednesday and Thursday, September 23-24 students will be dismissed from school at 12:15pm. This early release schedule allows time for parents and teachers to meet to discuss student progress. In your child's Friday folder is a memo that will guide you in scheduling your child's conference. We look forward to sharing with you on these special days.

Pre-Order Your Spirit Wear

Preorder your winter spiritwear now! Order forms are coming home in Friday Folders and are due back by Wednesday, September 16. This will be the only opportunity to place an order. There are two hoodie options and two long sleeve shirt options. Please choose the one you prefer on the order form and return with your payment. The chevron paw print is available on a hoodie. The chevron circle is a front and back long sleeve tee. The Property of Mulberry design is available on either a hoodie or a long sleeve tee. Hoodie prices are $25 and Long Sleeve Tees are $20. If you have any questions please email

Bring Your Grandparents to Lunch

It’s become one of our favorite traditions. In recognition of National Grandparents Week we have set aside time to celebrate at Mulberry. On Tuesday and Wednesday, September 8 & 9, students are encouraged to invite their grandparents to school for lunch. Adult lunches are available for $3.00 and student lunches are $2.25. Come join us in honoring the special people in our lives.

Book Fair Information

Reading is the most important skill you can teach a child. Of all the skills children learn, it is the one you can influence the most.

We invite you to visit our Scholastic Book Fair and experience a celebration of reading that provides families the opportunity to get involved in a universal mission: encouraging kids to read every day so they can lead better lives.

Please make plans to visit our Monster Book Fair! Hope to see you there!
