Chapter 2
Section 3
Th water cycle
-there is three steps to it
- First , Evaporation Next is Condensation, Last Precipitation
-Evaporation is when the suns heat turn the water into liquid gas and rises into the air.
-Condensation is the build of water into the cloud until no longer room to store more water so it realeases.
Precipitation comes next and thats when the rain falls into the ground
THEN IT REPEATS
BODIES OF SALT WATER
-Theres the Pacific ocean, Atlantic ocean, Indian ocean, and Arctic ocean.
✹SEAS, GULFS, AND BAYS
-Seas, gulfs and bays are bodies of salt water smaller than oceans.
-Scientist have identified 66 separate seas, gulfs, and bays, and many smaller divisions.
✹OCEAN WATER TO DRINKING WATER
-Ocean water is to salty for drinking, farming or manufacturing.
-There turning ocean water to fresh water by removing the salt , this process is known as desalination.
Bodies of freshwater
-A lake is a body of water surrounded by land which contains fresh water.
-There found where glacial movement happens.
-Flowing water forms streams and rivers.
-Steams may combine to form a river.
✹GROUNDWATER
-Is freshwater which lies beneath the earths surface, that comes from melted snow and rain.
