UH Cancer Center researchers, Drs. Peiwen Fei MD, PhD, Panneerselvam Jayabal, PhD, and others in Fei’s team, have reported the roles of the Fanconi anemia (FA)-BRCA pathway in suppressing the development of non-FA human tumors at the metabolic level.

In their most recent paper they investigated bladder cancer and its relationship with this pathway. Currently, bladder cancer is the second most commonly diagnosed cancer in the U.S. and is a major cause of mortality around the world with approximately 150,000 deaths annually.

The American Chemical Society (ACS) acknowledged their work. ACS is the world's largest scientific society, providing the worldwide scientific community with cutting-edge research from the most-cited, peer-reviewed publications. ACS published this work in the Journal of Proteome Research and stated, “ACS we recognize that your research is important and highlight your research via a dynamic ACS Publications web platform that showcases your important work to a global community of scientists”.

Calling all musicians: Come jam with the JABSOM Musician and Artists

The students are awesomely talented. But they want to share their talent...and learn from your talent also! The idea is to bring faculty, staff, and all interested students together for fun, and who knows, perhaps future performances that all of us can enjoy! Watch our video above.
