What is symbiosis?
The interaction between two organisms broken up into three categories.
Types of Symbiosis
Mutualism- both organisms benefit
Commensalism- one organism benefits and the other is not affected
Parasitism- one organism benefits while the other is harmed
Mutualism
bees and flowers- both benefit, the bee get pollen from the flower and the flower get pollinated in return
Commensalism
birds and beast- the birds eat the bugs and flies off of the animal. The bird gets food but the animal could live with the bugs so that's how the large animal is not really affected.
Parasitism
ticks and dogs- the ticks benefit from the dog's blood while the dog doesn’t benefit at all, the dog is actually harmed.
