Principal Lunde's Weekly Update
Jan. 11, 2021
As we navigate the new year, let's practice using our Breathing Tool and Patience Tool. With the current distance learning scenario, the rise in COVID19 cases, the current events at the federal level, and the regular daily grind of being parents, pause to breathe. Each of you are juggling an already full plate that continues to get more added to it.
- Seek ways to listen to your children and allow for space so that emotions can be felt and worked with or managed.
- Step away for 5 minutes so you can feel and manage your thoughts and ideas.
- Dig deep and trust each other and the intent of our Seawolf Community.
Use the Check-In With Mrs. Lunde Googleform to set up a time for a student or family to connect with me to be thought partners in the work we are doing for your children.
Maker World - Week 2!
How does UELF use project based learning to develop the Maker Mindset and target key learning skills like reading, writing, and mathematics?
Join us on Wednesday, Jan. 13th at 3pm to work with the Exploratorium Tinkering Studio. Using the supply list attached, collect "common items" around the house to engineer Balancing Sculptors. See you there on GoogleMeet!
*Thank you UELF PTA for sponsoring Maker World 2021!
Girl Scout Troop 11354 is hosting a food drive to benefit NOAH, Neighbors Organized Against Hunger, in Rohnert Park through January 15th. If you would like to donate, you can drop off non perishable foods like canned goods, rice, and beans, on our next supply pickup day (January 15th). Look for the red bin by the garden table. Thank you for supporting our service project and our community!
