ON-SITE TESTING
As we shared in the District Newsletter on Friday (here), we have started offering an On-site COVID-19 Testing center at the ECC District Office on weekdays from 7am to 3pm for students, staff, and family/household members of positive student or staff cases or anyone deemed a close contact.
If you are contacted by our main office at the school that your child is symptomatic and needs to be picked up or released from school, you now have the opportunity between 7am to 3pm to take your child to the ECC District Office for COVID-19 testing. HIGH SCHOOL ONLY - We will continue to have On-Site Testing at Franklin High School during weekdays from 7am to 3pm for high school students through our health office located there.
Please review this document for other details and questions you may have about how this will work. Testing is another mitigation strategy to help us reduce the spread of COVID-19 in our schools.
DISTRICT NEWSLETTER FROM FRIDAY
In case you missed it, please review the District Newsletter from Friday (here) as there were many details shared about how we are continuing to best address the spread of COVID-19 in our schools while remaining in-person for learning.

WEBSITE BACK UP AND RUNNING
As of late Sunday, the district website, including all school websites, is back up and running to 100% functionality. We apologize for the inconvenience with it being up and down last week. Our website vendor has restored all pages including the calendar area, our newsfeeds, and our staff directory. Thank you for your patience during this past week as they worked to get everything restored.
MASK REMINDERS
As we continue to require masks for students, please remember the following:
It’s a good idea to wash your child’s mask frequently, ideally daily if possible.
Please ensure that your child has a few masks to rotate throughout the average school week
Please send an extra mask in your child’s backpack in the event they need another mask
When choosing masks for your child, please look for masks that have 2 or more layers of breathable fabric, cover their nose and mouth, fit snugly across the sides of their face, and don’t have gaps.
FRANKLIN PUBLIC SCHOOLS IS HIRING
We are hiring for Food Service Workers ($15/hour starting wage, full and part time), Kids Club Workers (working with students before and after school), and Bus Drivers ($20/hour starting wage, other bonuses, paid training through First Student in Muskego).
Click on the images below to go right to the postings and join a great team!
LOST & FOUND *NEW*
We now have a coat/storage rack outside of the main office where lost and found will be placed. Students should check this location if they are missing an item. Here are Photos of the lost and found items. Any unclaimed items for December will be donated on Friday, February 4th.
DRESS FOR THE WEATHER
All students are required to go outside for recess daily unless the windchill is below zero or it is raining. When the temperature is below 50 degrees students are required to wear jackets/coats. Please make sure your student is dressed properly for the cold weather with hats, gloves, scarves, boots and snow pants. Snow pants and boots are required to be worn in order for students to play in the snow. Classrooms stay together as a group on a designated area of the playground - if your child's classroom is assigned a grassy area, this makes snow pants and boots essential.
ABSENCE REPORTING
It is essential to note that student absences are now reported using THIS FORM. The Absence Reporting Form is also located as a button on the Pleasant View webpage and under the “Parents Information” section. This form will require you to enter your child’s six-digit student ID number and birthdate before you can report your child absent. The Absence Reporting Form should be used to report ANY attendance change including late arrivals, early departures, and pre planned absences for both in-person and virtual students.

NEW SPEAK UP SPEAK OUT FORM
The District has joined “Speak Up Speak Out Wisconsin” for threat or incident reporting. This takes the place of our previous “StopIt” reporting form. Click on this link to view the new form. You will notice as you start typing the name of your school, the choices for schools narrows so you can select your school. By selecting your school, this report goes to the principal or local law enforcement when needed.
