Welcome!
General information that applies to all students and parents can be found towards the top of every newsletter, while information specific to your child's ensemble can be found in that particular section by scrolling down. Feel free to contact a director if you have any questions, and our contact information is at the bottom of this newsletter.
Happy Mother's Day!
*School-Owned Instrument Turn-In & Summer Check Out*
All school-owned instruments (including those at home) are due back to school no later than this Monday, May 15. This will allow us to check these instruments, take inventory, and prepare them for summer repair and cleaning. Students may bring them to school themselves, or parents may drop them off at the front office anytime during school hours between 8am-4pm.
Also, if your student is a current 6th or 7th grader and would like an instrument to practice over the summer, please email Mr. Pulley here and request an instrument. We do not charge for summer checkouts, and these will be issued on a first-come, first-serve basis. Please notify us no later than Monday, May 15 if your student would like a summer instrument.
Typhoon Texas Tickets
Students who were signed up for the canceled Spring Trip will receive their ticket this Monday in class in an envelope with their name on the outside. Tickets are good for any day during the Summer 2023 season. Email Mr. Pulley by 8am Monday morning if you would prefer to pick up the ticket yourself in the front office of the school.
Next Year's Band Registration - Monday, July 31
It's already time to start talking about next school year! Our Band Registration will take place in the BMS Band Hall on Monday, July 31 from 9:00am-6:00pm (come-and-go). You'll be able to sign up for emails, Remind texts, update contact information, drop off student instruments and supplies, as well as see the directors and your band friends! Returning Members Packets are being emailed and given to students this week that contain updated supplies lists and other necessary information.

Parent Chaperone Sign-Up
*Temple College Performance - THIS TUESDAY*
Eligible members of the Beginner's Ensemble will travel to Temple College to perform and compete for 3 judges this Tuesday, May 16. Students should come to school that day already dressed in their band uniform, but may bring a change of school clothes to change into later if they so desire. Our performance is open to the public at the Mary Alice Marshall Performing Arts Center and starts at 11:30am. Click here to see the detailed itinerary for that day, and we still need chaperones to help so email Mr. Pulley if you can help out that day and earn a free lunch!

If you haven't already, make sure you sign up for our Remind texts for the Beginner's Ensemble here. Students may do this as well with parent permission. This is important piece of communication to receive reminders throughout the year.
