The Calendar is Loaded!

As we put up the calendar at school and the upcoming events, it's clear there is still a lot going on before the school year ends! Lots of fun, as well as lots of work left to do. As there are many events coming up which parents and family may want to attend, please remember a few things regarding visitors at school. ALL visitors MUST sign in at the office, including those coming for events, class parties, field trips or any other purpose. Also, if you plan to visit or volunteer at the school during the school day for ANY purpose, you need to be an “approved volunteer”, even if you are coming to a class party or to watch an event. This is KPBSD policy and the process may take 1-3 weeks, so I encourage you to apply now if you haven’t yet and you wish to attend any events this year.

Registration forms for next year are going home (or have been sent home). We are sending those a little earlier, as we anticipate you'll be flooded with information in the coming weeks with all the field trips, yearbook order forms, and events before the end of the year. Please complete all registration forms in your student's envelope and return them to school as soon as possible so we can be prepared for your student's return in the fall. We would like to highlight one of those forms and explain a bit about the Student Transportation Plan or Student After School Plan. On this form we need a single line checked for each day of the week so that if we don't have communication with you, both the school and parents know what the after school plan is for each day. As it states on there, parents are welcome to change the plan for a particular day with a phone call or note. The form is a default plan for each day of the week. Please see the example below. Please do not leave it blank for any day of the week, nor check multiple lines for any single day of the week: one check mark per day. Please feel free to contact the office at 260-1345 if you have any questions.
