What's Happening in Biology?
Week of 10/6-10-10
Hello!
Welcome to another week of Biology!
Last week we concluded our unit over cells with a test on Friday. So this week we are focusing in on the cell membrane and how materials get in and out of cells.
We start our cell transport unit on Monday bey setting up the gummy bear lab and starting notes over cell transport. Tuesday we will be getting the data from our gummy bear lab and finishing up the notes. On wednesday, we will be doing the Egg Demo and finishing up the worksheet that pertains to the eggs and gummy bear lab.
On Thursday, we will be doing our starch and iodine lab to see even more examples of how things move in and out of cells.
We will finish out our lab filled week on Friday with a workday to practice osmosis and diffusion practice problems.
This is really short unit, so they will be testing in just over a week on Wednesday, 10/15.
Parent teacher conferences are coming up at the end of October (10/29 and 10/30). I'd love to meet with you!
Have a great week,
Mrs. Weiss
