Titan Athlete: Cassidy Anschutz
Sport: Bowling
Coach: Chris Searchfield
Reason why you nominated this athlete:
Cassidy is the captain of our girl’s team, she is in her sixth year with the team. Cassidy is an accomplished bowler, averaging 227 a 26 point increase over last year. She is well liked by her teammates as well as team members, and coaches, throughout our league. Her accomplishments and awards, in bowling, are far too many to mention. Her latest accomplishment being a perfect 300 game bowled during high school competition. She has already signed with Lincoln Memorial University in Knoxville, Tennessee.
Titan Athlete: Jack Rider
Sport: JV Boys Basketball
Coach: Christopher Barrett
Reason why you nominated this athlete:
Jack is the true definition of a “student athlete”. He works as hard in the classroom as he does on the basketball court. Jack has played an important role on a very successful team due to his versatility, selflessness and basketball IQ. Jack plays a role that doesn’t get a lot of glory, but we would not be the team we are without Jack. In the classroom, Jack is a leader and scholar. He takes a difficult load of advanced classes and is successful in all of them. He also is currently working on a service project in El Salvador helping to build schools. He is the true embodiment of what we want our student athletes to be.
