Future Problem Solvers (FPS)
Are you interested in learning how to tackle problems big and small? Or researching global issues impacting us today and in the future? FPS gives students opportunities to analyze problems and develop innovative, futuristic solutions through a competition format. Teams prepare during the school year to qualify for state and International level contests. This year, FPS will be challenged to solve problems related to Infectious Diseases, Toxic Materials, Disorders, and Cloud Computing. FPS meets Fridays in the media center from 7:45 - 9:00am (enter the school at side cafeteria door). Join us at our kickoff Friday, September 8th or any meeting through Sept 29th to see if FPS is for you. After September 29th, continuing participants pay a $45 registration fee (additional cost for teams qualifying for state finals in April). Questions? Contact Ms. Sanduski

Rugby Club coming Winter 2017
WANT TO GIVE RUGBY A TRY?
Quail Hollow Middle School is featuring a new club Rugby team starting Winter 2017. This is a fantastic opportunity for those looking for a sport that ‘fits.’ QHMS Rugby won the NC Middle School Rugby State Championship in 2012-2013. We are looking for a repeat.
QHMS Rugby will have no ‘cuts’ since there is room on the team for everyone (including girls). We need kids who can kick, kids who can run, kids who learn fast and think on their feet, and kids who like to have fun! Rugby is a fast-paced sport which rewards speed, courage, fitness, and teamwork. Rugby players will learn specific rugby skills including how to tackle safely. Coach David Hawkins coached at QHMS during their championship season and has most recently coached rugby across the street at South Meck High School for 3 years. He brings almost 30 years of rugby experience and loves the sport of rugby.
