Keep the fans in the stands! Mask up!
Anyone in attendance of an indoor event at school is required to wear a facial covering that covers the nose and mouth.
There is no limit on family members in attendance but we do ask that family groups socially distance from other families by at least 6 ft.
We appreciate the support for our students and want to make sure we honor the safety of all those in attendance.
Thank you for supporting Selkirk!
8th Grade Career Unit
Hello Selkirk Families,
For our Career Unit, 8th graders took an interests inventory and recently started exploring careers on the Xello program. A lot of information was shared in a short amount of time. This information will be helpful as they start their career project. Your student can access the Xello program from home with their log in and password in PowerSchool. I can’t wait to see their final projects.
We are hoping to have an in-person career fair in February. If you are interested in sharing your profession with our students, please email or call me.

Covid Update
We've had an increase in Covid cases in our school community. We are in the process of communicating with individuals affected and reviewing close contacts. Though this message is not identification of close contact, we are reminding families to watch for symptoms of Covid-19.
We do have updated guidance regarding isolation timeline for positive cases and quarantine requirements for close contacts.
- If a student tests positive, they must isolate at home for 5 days from the date of symptom onset or from the date they tested positive. The 5 day isolation is regardless of vaccination status. Students can return to school on day 6 as long as symptoms are improving and they are fever free.
- If a student is a close contact, they are eligible for test to stay regardless of where the exposure occurred (within school or outside of school as long as symptom free). A baseline test is completed as soon as possible when learning of the exposure. If negative, they stay at school. A second test is completed on day 5 after exposure. If negative again, they remain at school. If fully vaccinated and symptom free, the test to stay protocol is not required.
