HSE Schools Foundation News

The HSE Schools Foundation grant deadline is approaching.

The traditional grant round has also moved to the fall and the new deadline is October 19th. All faculty or staff are eligible to apply and can find additional info here: Director and former HRE parent, Freedom Kolb is happy to be available if folks have questions or need a sounding board for their ideas.

The Foundation also wants to share their annual report (15/16) with you: Their goal is to push this out to our entire community on October 4th. If you feel inspired they have asked that you please share this in your classroom newsletters or via social media communications. If you have any questions please be sure to let me know.

PTO Walk-a-thon

Our drawing for students who have registered for the cash drawing will be held this coming Monday morning. PTO will print a list of all students who have registered an online account to be sure that no students are left out. If you have not completed the paper slips for this process you will not need to worry about it since they are printing names of all students for the drawing. If you have questions please be sure to let us know.

Our response has been tremendous so far, but please continue to encourage student participation in our PTO walk-a-thon. We will be announcing another incentive for students who register an online account next week, so please continue to push that in your classroom newsletters as well.

Student incentives remaining are listed below...

  • $7500 by 10/18 = Stinky Feet Day
  • Top class on 10/25 designs the course
  • $12,500 by 10/25 = Mismatched Clothes Day
  • Reach school goal of $15,000 = Sumo Wrestling Event
  • Reach grade level goal of $3000 = Extra Recess

Voting Day Declared a Success!

A big thank you to Mrs. May, Mrs. McLean, and Mrs. Washburn for allowing their classes to plan and organize our voting event! The students did a fantastic job from start to finish.
