Patriot Day Remembrance Food Drive
As part of Patriot Day Remembrance, we will hold our annual food drive to benefit the Cullman Caring for Kids Food Bank. For the month of September, students are asked to bring any non-perishable food items to be donated. Last year we collected more than 8,000 pounds of food during this event; and, this year we have a goal of 9,000 pounds. If you would prefer, we are accepting cash donations, as well. Each donation of $1.00 equals seven (7) pounds of food. Let’s demonstrate our citizenship and sense of community during this time of remembrance.

EES Parent and Student Handbook
The East Elementary School Parent and Student Handbook has been updated for the 2019-2020 school year. While there is a lot of valuable information in the book, we want to highlight three updated sections. Please familiarize yourself with the following:
- Attendance, pages 2-4
- Cell Phone/Smart Watch, page 4
- Lunchroom, page 9
Attendance Matters
The Cullman City Schools 2019-2020 School Calendar can be located inside the back cover of the EES Parent and Student Handbook, as well as at www.cullmancats.net. The calendar can be found under the “PARENTS” tab. We stress the importance of planning vacations around school days. We have much to do during our school year.
