Reflection Corner: Mercy –Filled New Year!

Welcoming the Year 2016, Pope Francis emphasized the need to "let ourselves be reborn, to overcome the indifference which blocks solidarity," He recommended cooperation as the way to build an "ever more just and fraternal world, a world in which every person and every creature can dwell in peace." The Catholic Church dedicates New Year's Day to the theme of peace, and Francis this year is stressing mercy as the path toward reconciliation.

Dearest God of New Beginnings,

You have a plan and purpose for each day of 2016.

We humbly ask for your guidance and loving direction.

We ask for a deeper motivations and zeal to fulfill our mission as parents and formators of the heart, mind, and conscience of our dear children. We ask for compassion and mercy to help us move through our days with greater love and care for them and for one another. We ask this through the loving intercession of Our Patroness, Our Lady of Mercy.

Thank you, Mrs. Hogan!

As you all know by now, Mrs. Mary Lynne Hogan has decided to retire after twenty-seven years of dedicated service to Our Lady of Mercy School. We wish her well as she begins a new chapter of her life. Our appreciation goes to Mrs. Hogan for all that she has done and she has been to our school community. Thank you very much, Mrs. Hogan!

Mrs. Zarah Llemos has now joined Sr. Eileen in providing administrative support in the office.

Homework, Projects, etc. on MSP

In our continued efforts to further improve our communication with our families, all our teachers are now using MyStudentProgress (MSP) to post homework, projects, expectations, messages for parents and students' access. Please note that while some teachers may occasionally send emails to parents apprising them of the current and upcoming homework (as needed), you are all highly encouraged to check MSP on a regular basis to help you provide ongoing support to your children. Please find below instructions on how to access information (homework assignment etc.) on MSP. You can also access the guide by clicking the following link: https://goo.gl/fTisPQ

For further technical assistance, you can email Mr. Greg Rougley at technology@olmbulldogs.com.
