Elementary School Improvement Survey
Parents of Students Currently in Grades K-5: To continuously improve our elementary schools, we need data regarding students’, teachers’ and parents’ perceptions of the school year coming to a close. Accordingly, students will be taking their school improvement surveys in May. We ask all elementary school parents to take the end-of-the-year Elementary School Parent Survey available in electronic format. The information gained from the survey will help our elementary schools set goals to improve the educational experience for the students. Please use the link below to access the survey:
Brief Technology Use Survey
We are reaching out to ask you to take part in our school district questionnaire. Your participation is essential in helping us form a more complete picture of technology use for learning in our students’ lives. Please know that all of your responses will remain anonymous to protect your privacy and they will help your child's school choose the right technology for their classrooms. It will take approximately 5 minutes to complete.
The last day to complete this questionnaire is Friday, May 11th.
- Please go to: www.BByt.es/3DBDP (Salford Hills Elementary School)
*For parents with multiple children, please complete one survey for each child
Thank you for taking part in this important initiative!

Young Hacks Academy
Looking for summer camps for your child? Well look no farther! Young Hacks Academy is a summer camp that uses technology to develop real-world leadership skills. Blending computer programming, problem solving, and teamwork, YHA teaches kids to build cool video games and interactive projects about big challenges facing the world today. As serious as we are about exploring tech, YHA is also committed to having fun away from the screen, moving campers outside each day for unplugged games. The YHA is being hosted by Souderton Area School District Community Education and it will offer four camps: Agent Training, Beta Masters, Internet of Things, and Team Elektra (specifically geared toward girls ages 10-14).

Field Day News
Fruit for Field Day Needed
Field Day at Salford Hills will be on Friday May 18. The Home and School association provides the children with an ice-pop snack, and we ask that Parents supply fruit to keep every ones energy level high for this fun day! We are asking Parents to provide one of three fruit choices so that the children have a variety . This year we are serving prewashed individually bagged grapes, presliced and bagged oranges, and sliced watermelon triangles.
Please prepare the fruit to be served in baggies (watermelon may be presliced in a large disposable or well labled container). Once the day gets started there is no time for slicing and dicing!
