Calling All Amateur Photographers!

To brighten up our interior hallways, the Firm is sponsoring a PHOTO CONTEST, open to all Allen Matkins SF office personnel.

The Submission Deadline is September 30, 2015. Here’s how it will work:

Anyone who works in Allen Matkins’ San Francisco office (staff, paralegals, attorneys, DTI) may enter up to five photographs in the contest.

Initial screening of entries for technical and subject matter suitability (please, no porn, graphic violence, etc.) will be performed by our intrepid and expert Photo Committee members Paul Nash and Marsha Kirschbaum.

Entries surviving the initial screening will be put before all SF office personnel for a vote.

The submitting photographers will not be identified during the voting.

The top ten highest vote-getting photographs will be expertly printed, framed, and displayed in our hallways.

Votes will be counted so that each submitting photographer may have up to two winning photos. A $50 gift card will be awarded to the photographer of each winning photo.

Some details you will need to know if you plan to enter

  • Color photos only
  • Digital submissions only, in .jpg (or “jpeg”) format
  • Resolution should be high enough to produce a sharp 16” x 20” print (ideally, this means the photo should range from 8 to 10 megapixels, with at least 3200 pixels along the long side of the image)
  • Photos can be in either vertical (portrait) or horizontal (landscape) orientation
  • In the submission, the photographer must warrant his or her copyright ownership and grant a one print license to Allen Matkins

Email your photo submissions to Steve Morris by September 30

Name each photograph and label the email subject line: Photo Contest - [photo name]. Enter up to five photos, but email submissions separately. Committee members will not screen their own submissions or know names of other submissions.
