"If you want to make peace with your enemy, you have to work with your enemy. Then he becomes your partner."- Nelson Mandela Nelson Mandela was determined to end apartheid in South Africa in the 20th Century. He went to prison for 27 years and when he came back he was stronger and was ready to end apartheid. The cause of this was he was trying to free the blacks from doing all the work. The effect of that was being imprisoned for 27 years. He plotted his plan in his time in prison to help free the black slaves from slavery. He was apart of the African National Congress (ANC). He and the others apart of the group helped free the blacks in 1994. Catching Kayla: Determination to Run (Compare&Contrast)
Kayla Montgomery is a high school girl who was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis (MA) when she was 14. She loved track but there was one problem... After she ran long races she couldn't feel her legs and other runners thought it was cheating because it was an advantage. I can compare her to Usain Bolt because he doesn't have any disabilities, he is a runner without any diseases. I can compare Kayla to Oscar Pistorius because he has two prosthetic legs and competes in the regular men races. Kayla is just like him because even though she has MS she still gives her best shot.
