Tuesday: Grade 7 Writing, Grade 8 Math; Wednesday, Grade 8 Reading
We want to begin as early as we can so that students can finish by 12:30. This means we need to begin testing no later than 8:30, excluding the time it takes to read the instructions. Please arrive on time, or preferably early, so that you can check out your test materials and get your room ready.
Talk to your students this week about taking this test seriously and using their strategies. We know you have all worked very hard to prepare them. We know you are anxious for them. Your efforts will surely pay off. If possible, try to give a small pep talk to each student, or possibly two or three at a time. It could make all the difference.
Lunches may run a bit later than regularly scheduled because we do not want you or the students to have to eat in the classroom. Please hold off on giving the snacks until the students have finished testing, if you can.

Some students will take advantage of every opportunity they find to misbehave. Some referrals state, "When I wasn't looking, s/he...". Remember to keep the students engaged from bell to bell. Vary your activities so that they do not become bored. Consider giving those certain students a specific task during class so that they do not have those opportunities to choose the improper behavior.
