Test to Stay

Staying in School is the Best Option
In March, 2020, we witnessed a turn of events that affected every aspect of our lives - the pandemic and with it, the shutdown of our schools. Not even the most experienced administrator was prepared for virtual teaching, nor were the students and parents prepared for virtual learning.
Being in school and present in class is the best method for student learning.
Governor Hutchinson Introduces Test-to-Stay for Public Schools
On September 28, Governor Hutchinson introduced the "Test-to-Stay" (TTS) option for public schools.
Essentially this will allow anyone who has been in close contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19 to remain in school, provided the person tests negative and agrees to wear a face mask.
“Test to Stay” Modified Quarantine Pilot Program provided by the Arkansas Department of Health is designed to assist school districts in minimizing disruptions for students and allow for in-person instruction.
Every school that wishes to participate in the TTS program can now participate. Program guidelines only allow participation by a student or staff member that has been exposed to a person with COVID-19 at school and do not include exposures that occur outside of school.
