State of the Chromebooks

We are seeing Chromebooks come in with food in the keyboards.

This will attract rats.

Please do not allow students to eat or drink while using Chromebooks.

Also, encourage your kids using Chromebooks/ipads/Computer labs to keep their hands clean/sanitized and to not touch their face. I am seeing kids coughing all over keyboards lately. Yuck.

Missing: Southwestern #1. Spring Cleaning next week? Keep an eye out for this one at home!

eSchool News

You should now be able to go into the Attendance Photo, see your attendance chart and hit print and have the photos print. Also…any long term subs can NOW email out of eSchool rather than Outlook. They will not get an error.

HAC has not been fixed…but is not an issue for all families. It seems to be isolated to Chrome. The reported issue would be a “page freeze” not an issue with logging in.

If you hear from any parents who are having issues, please have them use IE or the APP. Both seem to be working well.

Grant Opportunity

Frontier Internet is currently offering three $1,000 grants for classroom technology for K-12 teachers. To apply, instructors need to submit a unique lesson plan explaining how they would use technology to teach social responsibility. More information about this opportunity can be found here.

The application deadline is May 15, 2020.
