Principal's Message
SMA School Community,
We are now at the end of the First Quarter and we are thankful that has been a successful one. We encourage parents to participate in next week's Parent- Teacher Conferences (October, 21st and October 22nd). Your child's teacher will be setting up times for these conferences with you. We appreciate your partnership and cooperation in forming our students in becoming the best version of themselves and so they can answer God's Call.
* Please Saint of the Day (<click here) for next week. We encourage parents to review the Saint of the Day with their children. We also post it daily on our Facebook Page (<click here)
****We are proud to introduce our new school website: https://edu.stmichaelcp.org/ Please access this website for all school information including school lunch (located at the bottom of the website) and educonnect.(top of the website under " Parents" tab.)
MEMO from Mr. Huber
SMA School Covid-19 Guidelines 2021
School and Church administration will continue to monitor current information and we will adjust protocols and procedures as we deem necessary to keep St. Michael the Archangel Catholic School open.
Medical Information from parents about students is to go directly through the school nurse’s office. Parents should not be emailing teachers about positive or negative COVID results. The school nurse will inform teachers about parent/student health status if necessary.

Lunch Room Update
Thank you to everyone who filled out the lunch survey. We got some good feedback. Here are some clarifications on some of the comments we received.
- To view your students orders, log into Educonnect, click on "View Payment Info" your students names are highlighted in blue and underlined. Click on their name and you will see all of their orders.
- We were having some delivery issues with our former milk vendor and have switched to A&E as our milk provider.
- Milk is provided with the Entree. There is no need to order milk unless your child wants an additional milk. There is also no need to select the flavor of milk.
- We are continually trying to make the process more efficient. For the most part, all students are served within 5 minutes.
- Orders need to be placed by Thursday, so Chef can place his order with his supplier to ensure delivery for the following week. You are able to place your orders as far out as you like.
- Grilled Cheese and PBJ are always available if no lunch has been ordered or if a lunch has been forgotten at home.
Thank you to all of the parents who have signed up to volunteer in the lunch room. We couldn't do it with out you!

Dear Parents,
As a reminder, St. Michael the Archangel School is participating in the President’s Volunteer Service Award Program. The Award recognizes United States citizens who have achieved minimum hours of service over a 12-month time period, which for SMA will run from April 1, 2021-March 31, 2022.
Any SMA student who performs 26 (ages 5-10) or 50 (ages 11-15) or more hours of service will be recognized for their efforts with a pin bearing the Presidential Seal, a certificate, and a letter of recognition from the President.
It is an amazingly simple process - just keep track of service hours. A log is located on the VSL website at https://sites.google.com/view/smavsl/presidential-service-award?authuser=0 You MUST fill out the first page completely and include it with the signed log. Forms must be submitted to the front office by April 1, 2022. Due to the tight turnaround deadline, we cannot accept forms after that date. Forms may be turned in early.
