Rattlin Rattler
December'18 Issue
Message from the Principal
Dear Raba Families and Friends,
December is here!! It is a short but an incredibly busy month at Raba! I want to thank the families and friends that joined us for our Veteran’s Day ceremony. From the moment everyone walked in, to the ceremony itself, our choir and Warren’s drill team; you could feel a sense of pride and patriotism. Thank you to all the Raba teachers, PTA, Social Studies committee and special thanks to the leadership of Mrs. Almanza & Mrs. Ruhlman.
If you have not attended an event, there will be many events coming up and it would be great to see you all there. On Dec 6th, we have a Brave Parenting/Choir & Orff presentation. December 11th, we have our PTA/5th-grade performance of The North Pole Musical & Art Show in the Gym. Come out and see what our rattlers have been working on.
As we continue to keep safety in mind, I would like to thank you for pulling up to the car signs, staying in your car and helping the drop-off/pick up flow be even faster. I appreciate you all for not dropping your child off in the parking lot and walking him/her to school.
Please remember that students can log in to MobyMax during the break.
I hope you spend lots of time capturing memories with your family and friends during the upcoming holiday season!
The Raba faculty and staff would like to wish everyone a safe and joyous winter break (Dec 24th – Jan 4th).
Yours in Education,
Francesca L Neal

Team Zachry
Dear Team Zachry Families,
We have just finished our 2nd six weeks and are already looking at plans for the 2019-2020 school year!
Our head counselor and I have visited all of the elementary schools that feed to Zachry and have met with their 5th graders. Families and students of these rising 6th graders have come to the Elective Night in November and the students will be coming to Zachry on December 18th or 19th with their teachers to participate in Camp Zachry. On January 7th letters/worksheets for course selections will be sent home at the elementary schools for the rising 6th graders 2019-2020 selections. The students will be assisted in putting their selections into the computer at their elementary schools during the week of January 14, 2019.
If you or any families you know would like a tour of Zachry MS, please come to the front office at any time and we will provide tours. We are proud to show our school and students at work!
