Principal's Page
Dear Presentation of Mary Families,
I want to start by extending a big thank you to all that helped make our Parish Fall Festival last weekend a success. Whether you donated items, took a volunteer shift (or two!), or brought your family out to participate in the multitude of activities, we appreciate you! It was wonderful to see so many faces enjoying time together and celebrating our community. We are truly blessed!
Another exciting opportunity is on the horizon for our community. Anyone that is interested in participating in or leading a Parents in Prayer Group or Bible Study Group is invited to learn more about this chance to get to know more people and grow in faith together. These groups could meet in person or virtually, and time could be flexible depending on the group's preferences. In addition, our parish is currently inviting people to join their Synod Small Group sessions, which will meet for 7 weeks in October and November. If you have any interest in helping to organize or lead a Parents in Prayer or Bible Study group, send me an email at slovegreen@presentationofmary.org, or if you'd like to learn more about the Synod Small Group opportunities, click here.
I hope to see many of you at the Panther Classic Golf Fundraiser this Sunday. Rain or shine, we will be there enjoying time together as a community and raising funds for our amazing school! You can still grab a spot to play or order one of the custom-made polos - visit the website to learn more, it's never too late!
Blessings to all of you,
Sue Lovegreen, Principal
Daytime Helpers Needed
We have a few places we could use help during the school day. This is a great way to get in some service hours AND get to see your kiddo during the day - it's a WIN-WIN!
- Lunchroom assistant/monitor: Come from 11:15 - Noon and assist grades K-3 as they go through the salad bar, then help to assist in opening milks, peeling bananas, and other tasks that can be difficult for small fingers. Come once a week, every day, or whenever you can! Contact Lunchroom Assistant Jenna Rose Bradshaw if interested or with questions.
- Organizer for a store room and some cupboards: Do you like tackling a messy cupboard and using your creative energy to turn that clutter into a beautifully organized space? Spend some time with us helping organize some of our storage spaces. Contact Ms. Linda if you are interested, day/time can be flexible.
Thanks for Raising Your Hand to support our school!
School Family Organization
Last week a letter was sent out introducing the School Family Organization (SFO). Click the link below to read that letter. If you are interested in learning more about this organization and/or becoming a classroom representative, contact them at SFO@pbvmstudents.org.

Be a Picture Day Hero! We need 1-2 volunteers to help with younger grades on picture day. We will need you from about 8:30-10:30 or 11. In return for your assistance, Lifetouch will offer you a coupon towards the purchase of your child's portrait package.
October Lunch
Below is the October lunch menu.
Please circle the lunches your child would like to have, and make sure their name is on it. You can email it back to Ms. Linda.
You can also just email her and tell if your child is hot lunch everyday.
Lunch menus due today, Sept 22!
In order to have enough food daily, we need to order our food a month ahead.
Late orders will not be accepted.
Thank you!
Spirit Wear Days
The last Friday of each month, students may choose to wear Presentation Spirit Wear instead of their uniforms. The Spirit Wear Day for September will be Friday, September 29th. Spirit Wear includes all items showing our mascot, the Panther. If you need Panther Spirit Wear, check out our online store. A portion of the proceeds from Spirit Wear purchases also come back to our school!
Nurse Notes
Dear Parents/Caregivers,
I would like to remind everyone that if your child(ren) have any allergies or other medical conditions, please provide us with that information along with any medication(s) that are used for treatment. If medication(s) are used during school hours we will need the medication and a written order by your physician in order to administer it. Contact the school office at 651-777-5877 or lprazak@presentationofmary.org with any questions.
Thank you.

From Our School Counselor
Hello! My name is Angie Donohoo and I am the new school counselor at Presentation of Mary. I am married to my husband Matt and we have 4 very highly energetic children: Anna (11), Lucy (10), Aidan (7) and Lily (6). Our family enjoys family movie night every Friday with homemade pizza and popcorn. We enjoy playing sports, hiking and camping. We have an awesome hill in our backyard so we have fun sledding all winter long. I am looking forward to getting to know the students at Presentation by doing some lessons in the classrooms, meeting with individual students, and having group meetings. I am also happy to assist parents in helping find resources or working together to find strategies to help students succeed.
The role of school counseling has changed over time as has the recognition of the value of sound mental health and behavioral health routines and strategies. I believe every adult in the Presentation community has the ability to play a positive role in supporting the mental health of the students. Parents play the biggest and most consistent role in a student’s life. Teachers are critical and provide amazing opportunities for growth and building trust throughout the year. As the counselor, I have the opportunity to support the parents, teachers, and students.
I look forward to a great 2023-2024 school year. As I am often meeting with students, email will be the best way to reach me. Please reach out with any questions or concerns.
Angie Donohoo
Halloween Party

Panther Classic Golf Fundraiser
Connect with parents, alumni, and friends of Presentation while enjoying an afternoon of fun, games, and golf at the 2023 Panther Classic Golf Fundraiser on Sunday, September 24.
Bring your foursome, or sign up yourself and we'll add you to a team at Oak Marsh Golf Course in Oakdale for an 18-hole scramble golf tournament to benefit our favorite school. Tee times start at 1pm. A boxed lunch and complimentary drink ticket are included with registration.
All paid golfers will receive an 18 hole green fee for future play at Oak Marsh Golf Course.
Don’t miss out on a great afternoon of prizes, games, friends, food, drinks, and golf! The registration price goes up tomorrow so sign up today!
If golf isn't your thing, we also have opportunities for volunteers. This is a great way to get some service hours completed and meet new people.
Lastly, we have partnered with Legendary Golf Apparel, a veteran-owned and Minnesota-based business, to design exclusive polos embroidered with the Presentation of Mary logo. What’s even better is that Legendary will donate a portion of all proceeds made from these sales to Presentation of Mary School!
Panther Athletics
Come cheer on our Panther Volleyball and Soccer teams at their games! The schedules can be subject to change, so make sure you check the CAA website for any updates.
