Sixth Grade Boy's Basketball

Mr. Dworak wanted to share and congratulate the boys basketball team on their wins on Thurs., Jan. 24th against Highland, 39-9 and also their victory on Jan. 31st against Franklin, 33-12! The boys played hard and are continuing to work together better each and every time they are together.

School Counselors Week

School Counselors Week is the first week in February. This year's theme is: "School Counselors: Providing Lessons for Life," and will be celebrated from Feb. 4-8, 2019, to focus public attention on the unique contribution of school counselors within U.S. school systems. National School Counseling Week, sponsored by the American School Counseling Association, highlights the tremendous impact school counselors can have in helping students achieve school success as well as prepare and plan for college, career and life.

I ask you to join me in recognizing Gateway Counselors Mr. Pascal and Mrs. Forman. Feel free to send them a card or quick message letting them know how much you appreciate them and all that they do for our students and families!!

100th Day of School

Thursday, January 31st marked the 100th day of the 2018-19 school year!! From the very first day of school, many classes keep track of the number of days they've been in school in anticipation of the 100th day!! More than just a milestone worth noting - the 100th day is the perfect time to have fun with the number 100 while exploring counting, sorting, patterning, measuring and various other math skills and concepts.

100 days down—-70 more to go!!
